Please reach us at carpediemguideservice@gmail.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Before we head out for a day on the water, please make sure to purchase a valid Vermont fishing license. It's required by state law for anyone planning to fish, and it's quick and easy to get one online through the Vermont Fish & Wildlife Department’s website.

For your day on the water, please come prepared with any snacks, lunch, or extra clothing you might need to stay comfortable throughout the trip. There will be a cooler with ice on board to keep your items fresh, and I’ll have plenty of bottled water available for everyone. If you'd like additional refreshments—whether it's your favorite soft drinks, beer, or wine—feel free to bring those along as well. Just be sure everything is in cans or plastic containers for safety on the boat.

I’ll have all the rods, tackle, and gear we’ll need for a successful day of fishing, so there’s no need to worry if you don’t have your own equipment. That said, if you have a favorite rod or some gear you'd like to bring along, you’re more than welcome to use it. I just ask that you keep it to a reasonable amount so we can maintain a safe and comfortable space on the boat for everyone.

At Carpe Diem Guide Service, I offer two tiers of guided fishing trips to fit your schedule and preferences. The half-day trip is 4 hours on the water and costs $250. This flexible option can be scheduled for the morning, afternoon, or evening—whatever works best for you. It’s a great way to get out on the water, enjoy some time in nature, and reel in some great catches without committing to a full day.

For those looking for a more in-depth experience, I also offer a full-day trip, which includes 8 hours on the water for $400. This option gives us plenty of time to explore different spots, try a variety of techniques, and really settle into the rhythm of the day. Whether you're looking for a quick getaway or a full-on fishing adventure, I’ve got you covered.

Located in the heart of NEK, Carpe Diem Guide Service has access to some of the most pristine and unspoiled lakes in the region. From crystal-clear mountain waters to quiet backcountry gems, these lakes offer incredible fishing opportunities in breathtaking natural settings.  Depending on the season and conditions, we may fish a variety of waters, including Lake Memphremagog, Lake Willoughby, Seymour Lake, or smaller, lesser-known spots like Norton and Island Pond — all offering peaceful and productive days on the water.

Whether you're chasing bass, trout, pike, or panfish, each body of water has its own unique character and charm—and I tailor each trip to match your interests and the best opportunities available. Northern Vermont’s lakes are not only full of fish, but they’re also rich in solitude and scenic beauty, making for an unforgettable outdoor experience every time we head out.

The boat you'll be fishing from is set up for comfort and a quality experience on the water. It's ideally suited for two people plus your guide, making it a perfect option for couples looking to enjoy a relaxed and personal day of fishing together. With plenty of room to cast, move around, and enjoy the scenery, it’s designed to make your trip as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.

While the boat can accommodate a small family with young children, it’s important to note that the more people we have onboard, the less spacious and comfortable it becomes. This setup isn't ideal for larger groups of friends, but it works great for those seeking a more intimate and focused fishing experience in some of northern Vermont’s most beautiful waters.
